GRE exam centers | Rules and regulations

The guidelines for the GRE test center given below are just a small subset of the many strictly forbidden things. If you want to know the ins and outs of the GRE testing center, check out the rules and regulations mentioned below-

• All applicants must bring a government-issued photo I.D. to the test center.
• Prospective employees would have to agree to strict rules and confidentiality.
• Test takers may be asked to register their information in a log kept by the GRE testing facility.
• A candidate taking the GRE would be given a sheet of scratch paper to use throughout the exam, which would need to be returned after the examination.
• After the third segment of the GRE General test, the candidate would have the option to take a 10-minute break.
• Only during the Quantitative Reasoning segment would the candidate have access to an on-screen calculator. In the GRE testing center, personal calculators are not permitted.
• Test-takers should raise their hands if they have questions during the GRE.
• Depending on how well they fared on the GRE General Test, test-takers can report or cancel their scores at the end of the exam.
• Candidates are allowed to see their Verbal and Math results. The scoring procedure, however, will prevent the release of analytical writing results.
